Beyond-FX is therefore honored that for the third consecutive year, the company has been certified as A Great Place To Work, and to have ranked 63rd on the Fortune Best Small Workplaces 2024 list! Great Place To Work is a platform that assesses companies, speaks with their employees, and puts together key data to analyze the staff satisfaction rate, ensuring that a company truly lives up to the title of a great place to work, with a satisfied staff and positive foundation and we’re so proud to be celebrating these achievements.

As part of GPTW’s mission statement, they are hosting the Certification Nation Day, on October 16th, 2024. This is an annual chance for companies to spotlight their impressive work culture, and we wanted to take the opportunity to highlight some of the amazing things our team has accomplished, supported, and been a part of thus far in 2024 that contribute to making Beyond-FX such a special workplace!

As part of this celebration, we wanted to highlight some scenarios where the Beyond-FX team have showcased how brilliant they truly are, with events and milestones from throughout the year!

Fortune List

We were excited to be ranked on Fortune Magazine's list of the top 100 small workplaces for 2024. The accolade continues to demonstrate Beyond-FX's commitment to standing out in the industry.

CHOC Walk

‍

We were incredibly proud of our team for engaging in the Children's Hospital of Orange County walk through Disneyland. The fundraiser is close to our hearts and we were thrilled to have collectively raised more than $100K for the cause.

Pride Month

‍

Throughout Pride Month, Beyond-FX reinforced its commitment to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, and hosted special Beyond-FX Arcade playthroughs. Not only did they highlight some fantastic games, but they also championed numerous organizations that our community can support within the LGBTQIA+ space.

Central Texas Food Bank

Our brilliant team also used their free time to sort items for Austin's Central Texas Food Bank. Not only did they help provide 19,285 meals, but Beyond-FX also donated $1,000 to match their efforts.

Extra Life May

We also got involved with the Extra Life fundraising event in May, with a livestream that helped to raise $2,610 for Children's Hospital Los Angeles. We're proud that Beyond-FX will be following up on this success with another 24-hour stream on November 2nd, 2024.

Star Wars Day Celebration

Beyond-FX had fun celebrating May the 4th in style, making DIY terrariums inspired by the galaxy far, far away. Of course, it's not a party without themed gingerbread!

Earth Day Beach Clean-up

For Earth day, Beyond-FX teamed up with our Virtuos sister studio, CounterPunch, in a beach clean-up which helped to protect both the wildlife and natural beauty of the area.

GDC VFX Mixer

In March, Beyond-FX attended the Game Developers Conference and co-hosted a VFX Mixer! It was a great opportunity to bring the VFX community together and share ideas.

GDC VFX Summit Panel Presentation

The Game Developers Conference is also notable for its panels, and the Beyond-FX team did a stellar job in crafting a compelling presentation that tore down a full house!

International Women’s Day

For International Women's Day, Beyond-FX put the focus on all the amazing women in our team, and those who have contributed to the industry throughout the years, in a celebration of their achievements and talent.

VFX Jam 2024

Plus, there's lots more to look forward to, like the annual VFX Jam. For 2024, Beyond-FX asked the team to create explosion effects that will blow your mind.

BFX-U | Learn With Us Free Unreal Engine Course

Beyond-FX also launched the inaugural BFX-U | Learn With Us course, a completely free, beginner program for those just starting out in VFX.

Houdini HIVE Horizon presentation

Elsewhere, Beyond-FX hit the stage at the Houdini HIVE Horizon event with an exploration of workflow between Houdini and Unreal Engine that you really had to be there for.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month Support

And finally, Beyond-FX also put together a plan of support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with the team coming together to fundraise for the crucial charity.
