Destruction - Crumbling Walls

What’s a day in the life of a real-time VFX artist without a little destruction? We’ve been having a blast destroying quite a few walls in the studio lately, so we pooled our minds and came up with the following list, which is also a list of some pretty awesome movies (if we do say so ourselves).

If you’re working on a crumbling, exploding wall, check out the following references:

How Hard is it to Explode a Hole in a Concrete Wall?

Goldeneye’s Tank Chase

Gatecrasher Against a Double-Skinned Wall

Matrix Lobby Scene Shootout

Inception’s “Dream is Collapsing” Scene

Terminator 2’s Truck-Chase Scene

(P.S. We all want you to know how amazing this film is…)

Dredd’s "Three Gatling Guns vs. Dredd = No Problem"

Mobile Police Patlabor 2: The Movie’s Tower Destruction Scene (0:10)

San Andreas’ Earthquake Scene

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers’ Blowing up of the Wall
