What is an Attribute?

Attributes are a fundamental concept that enables artists to create complex effects. They are pieces of information attached to particles or geometry that can be used to control behavior, appearance, and other various properties.

  1. Make sure the Visualization Button is activated.
  2. Right click on the Visualization Button.
  3. Press the + button on the Scene section to create your Attribute visualizer.
  4. Fill the “attribute” value with your attribute name and the class with your attribute class type.
  5. Set the text color and font size to something readable in the viewer.
  6. Change the name and label to a name that makes sense for the attribute you are viewing.

Now that this is set up, you can change the type, toggle on/off, update values, and see changes in the viewer.
